Age - 21 Current School - University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Cat - 2 How long have you been cycling? This will be my third competitive season. How did you get into cycling? I started riding in volume when I would crosstrain for cross country and track in high school. What types of cycling do you compete in?I race both road and cyclocross and I am hoping to break into the gravel scene soon! Why are you excited to be part of CCA? I am excited to learn what it is like to be a team member while competing at a high level. I am grateful to have the support that CCA offers to help me further my cycling career as I continue my education. Your 2025 cycling goals - I want to be the Wisconsin road race champion. I finished 4th last year and I think with good training and tactics, I might just be able to win it. Long term cycling goals - I want to use my fitness and experience to earn myself a place on a high-level team that I can help and who can help me achieve success in races. The most difficult race or ride you have done and why? 8/10/24 WI State Road Race, New Glarus WI. I was sick for most of the week leading up and was still not feeling well. I pushed myself to what my limit was and came away with 4th place against some big names for the area. The most fun race or ride you have done and why? 05/04/24 TOAD Giro de Grafton, Grafton WI. This was my first big win. Sent a flyer with 7 to go and managed to hold a gap and was able to win solo. What races are you most excited for in 2025? TOAD and GRIT What are the most important things competitive cycling has taught you? Fitness isn’t everything. It’s not like cross country where I would just run as fast as I can, bike racing has strategy which gives it an extra layer that I like and want to learn more about. What is your motivation to put in the winter training miles? That warmer weather will hopefully return! What qualities make you a great teammate? I am always happy to help others with success. A seemingly ‘individual’ win that I helped with is also a win for me.
