RICHARD BRINK

Managing Director of Equipment Sponsorship, U21 Mentor

Bio: Richard Brink serves as the Vice President for the Cleveland Cycling Academy. A bicycle industry veteran, Mr. Brink has owned retail bicycle stores in his native New England area, and worked as a factory sales representative. Richard is currently an independent sales rep managing the affairs for some of the sports leading edge brands. 

Notable sports accomplishments include several state cycling and Nordic ski championships as well as a successful scholastic hockey career. Mr. Brink has raced as an amateur member of the Benotto Northstar Bicycles Club, Century Road Club Miyata, Pepsi Schwinn Team, Guinness, West Virginia Health Care Team, and the Many RGF Sports Cycling Teams. 

Richard is excited to support a program that allows younger students of cycling to gain experience and knowledge from the masters of our beautiful sport. Richard is married to Susan, and has a son Owen, who also lives in the Cleveland area.

Richard’s responsibilities include:  

-Advising and collaborating on all CCA operations. 
- Collaborating with BODs on rider identification, conducting interviewing and recruitment for youth teams and development programs. 
- Collaborating on CCA team clothing. 
- Networking with cycling industry vendors and community to gain sponsors, partnerships and donors.
