JAMIE FLEMING

Managing Director of Masters & Mentors Program, U21 Mentor, Masters Rider

Bio: Jamie is from Copley, OH and currently resides in Berea, OH. He graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College in 1999 with a Physical Education K-12 Teaching Degree. He also earned a MS Degree in Health Education / Health Promotion from Mississippi State University.

Jamie has been a teacher in the Berea City School District for 24 years. He was a Physical Education Teacher for 22 years before transitioning to a Career Based Intervention Coordinator. Phys Ed / Fitness is something Jamie will always value and he feels blessed to have changed the lives of many students in ways they never thought possible. As a CBI coordinator he prepares students for real life challenges and mentors them to become positive, productive citizens. Jamie is currently a Berea-Midpark High School football, track and wrestling coach.

Jamie is excited to be a part of Cleveland Cycling Academy for many reasons. When Jamie was a young cyclist, unfortunately, at that time there were no programs like this around to help support his passion. Had there been such a program, he might not have stepped away from the sport. Jamie wants to give youth riders the opportunity to learn and grow as young competitive cyclists and potentially achieve their dreams. He also loves the mission of the CCA organization and everything it stands for. The CCA is in alignment with his beliefs and values.

Jamie is excited to contribute his coaching skills, as a seasoned coach of 24 years at the high school level. He has immense experience working with adolescents. Jamie’s fitness and personal training background will be extremely valuable to the program. He will be providing knowledge on nutrition/supplements and training schedules/plans.

Jamie met his wife Jennifer at Baldwin-Wallace College. He feels truly blessed to have her in his life and feels fortunate she supports his passion. Jamie and Jen have two beautiful and talented daughters. Kadence is an Education Major at Miami of Ohio and Emersyn is currently a student at Berea-Midpark High School. Both are also competitive dancers.

Jamie’s Role: Jamie wears many hats to ensure this organization is operating at its full potential. Jame’s responsibilities include:

- Collaborating with BODs on all activities and programs of the CCA.
- Managing rider identification, conducting interviewing and recruitment for both teams.
