Brody Kelly, age 17, from Indianapolis, IN started racing three years ago and has quickly categorized up: Road Cat 3, Mtb Cat 2, and Track & Cyclocross Cat 3. In 2022, Brody racked up three victories in addition to a 13th at Snake Alley and 3rd at the Whiskey City Challenge. “I am incredibly excited about this opportunity. I can't wait to find my role amongst my new friends and teammates. I have many goals that I am excited to achieve with CCA in the 2023 season,“ said Brody. “We are excited to have Brody on the team in 2023. He will make a fantastic addition to the CCA U-21 development program. I absolutely want to see him take a leadership role while seeking out opportunities to win and get himself up on the podium,” said CCA founder, Robert “Polo” Fernandez. Who do you admire the most? I don't believe I have a hero, but Cameron Mason from Trinity racing is my idol. I have followed him from when he was a junior to now when he got second at worlds. He has overcome injuries and disappointment. His attitude towards cycling is so amazing to me the way he still enjoys it no matter what and always sees the positives in his races. What was your favorite race in 2022? My favorite race during 2022 was probably Whiskey City. It was my first just Cat 3 race and I was able to race against some people I had looked up to for years, like Eddie Stillman, Chandler, and Fergus Washington-Smith. When you are not training how do you like to spend your time? My friends and I drive RC cars and drones when we aren't riding or working on bikes. I also really like to cook.
