BOB BRNILOVICH

Co-Director of Masters & Mentors Program, U23 Mentor, Masters Rider

Bio: A former Masters Race Captain for the ETP Cycling, Brnilovich brings extensive knowledge and experience in Criterium and road racing.  

Q1. Please recap some of your achievements from this past year? Masters Cup and etc. 
A1. I am grateful that I stayed healthy and safe for most of the 2023 season. This year was a lot of fun and learning through participating in big criterium events like the Tour of America’s Dairyland, Intelligentsia, and the Masters Nationals. I ended up 5th in the Masters Cup and 2nd in the State Championships. 

Q2. How did you prepare for these events? 
A2. Luke Chronister, the owner of Elite Training Performance, is my coach is my coach and prepares a daily workout plan (riding and lifting) based on my race schedule and specific goals. 

Q3. Tell us why you are excited about joining CCA?
 A3. Giving back is what it is all about and CCA is committed to that mission. I look forward to being part of the development of the next generation of cyclists who want to race. 

Q4. What skills and knowledge are you hoping to share with our U21 Team?
 A4. Perseverance, along with utilizing every opportunity to grow. Also, learning to trust your teammates and being trustworthy will make a big difference in individual and team success.

Q5. Tell us a few things fun about you we wouldn’t normally know? 
A5. Probably quite a few, most likely those outside my family don’t are that I really like romance based medieval type movies (e.g. A Knights Tale, First Knight, etc) and that I taught all of my children how to play ping pong with their eyes.

A6. Coffee, for sure.
